Ghanaian actress Rose Mensah, popularly known as Kyeiwaa, has encouraged young people to value the importance of education.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Kyeiwaa opened up about the challenges she faced due to her limited educational background, especially after relocating to the United States of America.
“When you refuse to go to school, you might not see the effects immediately, but you will experience them later, especially if you travel abroad,” she explained.
She also urged young people to appreciate the sacrifices their parents make to ensure they receive an education.
“If your mother is working hard to support your education, take it seriously and go to school. Don’t say you won’t go. You may not feel the impact now, but the future will reveal it,” she emphasized.
Reflecting on her own experiences, she added, “If you don’t go to school, you may struggle to communicate in English, just like me. I’ve been through it, and that’s why I’m sharing this advice with you.”
Kyeiwaa is celebrated for her memorable roles in movies such as Akurasi Burgers, The Code of Money and Death, Akonoba, Cross Road, Abebrese, Ogyam, and many others.
