Ahead of the 2024 general elections set for December 7, dancehall musician Stonebwoy has confirmed that he has been approached by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to perform at their campaign rally.
In an interview on Hitz FM, he shared the factors that will influence his decision to take up the offer. According to Stonebwoy, his decision will depend on negotiations regarding the performance fee.
“There are a few things I’m considering. I think there’s been a call from the NDC. To be clear, I haven’t spoken directly with any NDC representative, but there has been an inquiry. We’re discussing the financial terms, and if everything aligns, I’ll perform for my fans and use some of the money for the BHIM festival,” he explained.
He wrapped up the interview by emphasizing the need for peace during and after the elections.
“December is coming, and all we seek is peaceful elections. Whenever you see me on any platform, I’m performing for peace—whether it’s for the NPP, NDC, CPP, it’s all about peace because we are one Ghana. Ghana first, and Ghana must win in the end,” he added.
