Comedian and actor Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, has spoken candidly about the challenges of staying faithful in marriages and relationships, describing it as a “possible but difficult” commitment.
During an appearance on the Diary of a Naija Girl podcast, the renowned skit maker shared his thoughts on commitment, admitting that while it’s easy to offer advice to others about relationships, applying those same principles in one’s own life can be far more challenging.
Mr. Macaroni highlighted that infidelity is a widespread issue that affects both men and women. He explained that once someone begins to stray, it becomes increasingly hard to break free from the cycle of unfaithfulness.
“It’s possible not to cheat, but it is very difficult,” he said. “I might not be in a relationship or considering one right now, but I’m a relationship expert—seriously.
“My friends often come to me for advice about their relationships, and I help them. But that’s because I’m observing from the outside.
“So, it’s very difficult not to cheat as a married person, both for men and women. You tell yourself you’ll cheat just once, but once you start, there’s no going back.”
