Activa Ghana becomes the first insurance company to earn the ISO 27001:2022 certification.

ACTIVA International Insurance Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the ACTIVA Group (Activa Finances), has made history as the first general insurance company in Ghana to achieve the ISO 27001:2022 certification in Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

This significant milestone highlights the company’s dedication to maintaining international standards in information security.

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized framework for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an ISMS, ensuring continuous improvement. This certification affirms that Activa Insurance’s processes, controls, and procedures meet the highest industry standards for protecting sensitive information.

In a statement, Benjamin Yamoah, Managing Director of ACTIVA Insurance, emphasized that obtaining the ISO certification strengthens the company’s security framework to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information for both the company and its clients.

He further noted that this achievement enhances Activa Insurance’s credibility among customers, partners, and stakeholders, establishing it as a trusted entity in an increasingly cybersecurity-driven business world.

“Our goal is to provide the best insurance solutions that meet international standards. This certification underscores our commitment to addressing emerging threats while delivering tailored solutions to our clients,” Mr. Yamoah said.

As the holiday season approaches, the Managing Director also urged all drivers to prioritize safety and recommended motorists to insure with Activa Insurance Ghana.
